Newcastle is well serviced by the East coast railway – currently handled by GNER but this will change –as a result travel time from London is just under 4 hours. A train journey in the UK creates significantly less green houses gases than that of a car, and is on whole a lot quicker. Once you arrive in Newcastle you are pretty much slap bang in the centre.
