Fine Individual Hotels and Luxury Hotels in the UK

Fine Individual Hotels have cracked the 50 mark in their continued expansion of their independent luxury hotels marketing collection. Originally set up in 1994 as a consortium, two of the original founders, Mike Bevans (owner, AA Inspector’s Choice 3 red star Linthwaite House Hotel) and Clive Wilson (G.M. 4 star Lakeside Hotel Newby Bridge) together with Ronnie Mullin, graphic and web designer based in Kendal) got together 3 years ago to turn FIH from a sleepy consortium to a dynamic hotel marketing company.

With the rise in fuel prices affecting the prices of flights abroad, it is anticipated that there will be a rise in people taking if not their main holiday then at least more frequent short breaks in the UK. The choice of hotels in the UK is exceptional and it is often uttered why so many people from the UK holiday abroad when they have such amazing scenery in Scotland, The Lake District and the South West for example.

Boutique hotels are becoming increasingly more popular, with the consumer realising the service and individuality that comes with them. These luxury, boutique hotels are all personally-managed hotels so the guest will find a quality of service and accommodation that will have even the most discriminating visitor purring with delight. On top of the excellent service, these hotels generally have imaginatively furnished bedrooms and bathrooms, soft, plump sofas you sink into, dining rooms with well-spaced tables and lots of fine linens and china which accentuate the luxury. Most have fine dining restaurants where the menus can range from classical to contemporary, using locally sourced produce and which change every day.

Whether you are looking for Perthshire Hotels, Conwy Hotels, Devon Hotels, Cotswolds Hotels, Norfolk Hotels, or Chichester Hotels you will find the perfect venue with Fine Individual Hotels.

Let there be silence

By: Adam Raphael | 08/01/2010
One man’s Mozart is another man’s poison. Music divides. So why do hotels insist on inflicting their musical tastes on their guests? ‘Music at dinner is an insult to both the cook and the musician,’ noted G.K. Chesterton. Or in Gordon Ramsay’s blunter version: ‘If you walk into a restaurant and music is being played, you know the food is crap.’ So what is wrong with silence?
