Fort St. George
It was in the year 1640 A.D that the British East India Company built the Fort of St. George under the direction of Andrew Cogon and Francis Day. Dedicated to the patron saint of England- St. George, this Fort is a pride of Madras. Within the area of this fort you will find St. Mary's Church and the Fort Museum.

Valluvar Kottam
Built in the memory of poet-saint Tiruvalluvar the temple of Valluvar Kottam is awe strikingly built in the shape of a chariot. The temple displays works of the famous poet and it gigantic hall large enough to have room for around 4000 people and is the largest of its kinds in the entire Asia.
