Haunted locations and British cities are a plenty, but Edinburgh offers the most sceptical of people a real opportunity to delve into the dark side of this city past.
Last year the most haunted team hit the Edinburgh Street for one of their live investigation. For those of you not familiar, this is a show found on Living TV where a group of paranormal investigators lurk around a venue trying to contact ghosts, cue screaming and green night vision TV. The show on the first night visited the famous Edinburgh vaults, a maze of rooms discovered in the mid 1980’s under Edinburgh south bridge. Since the public have had access to the room tales of ghostly sighting have been reported on numerous occasions.
The team in the vaults reported sickly feelings and heard constant knocking during the investigation with a few cast members even collapsing. On the second nights investigation cast members were actually slashed on their legs during live TV!! All of this is of cause up for debate, but the place is very eerie and well worth a visit. When these vaults were actually occupied it is rumoured that notorious body snatchers Burke and Hare may have used the vaults to gain bodies that were later sold to the nearby hospital.
Edinburgh is a place worth visiting any time, and the number of hotels in Edinburgh means that all budgets are catered for.
Edinburgh and its ghostly past is definitely worth investigating and the vaults are one of the most intriguing places to go and investigate.
