Perth: a World Where Life is Sweet

Perth is a vibrant capital city of Western Australia, located right in front of Swan river. It is one of the major cosmopolitan cities of the Australia. Perth is ranked fourth on The Economist's 2008 list of the World's Most Livable Cities and is thronged by large numbers tourists from all over the world and is fast emerging as a popular tourist destination.

This vivacious city abounds in many tourists spots including, London Court, Perth Mint, Perth Town Hall, Swan Bells, Barracks Arch, Sunset Coast and many others. One of the most popular tourist spots in Perth is Kings Park, which is the world's largest inner city park. The park is a mix of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland of Mount Eliza. One can also enjoy breathtaking views of Perth city. Perth is called as the 'City of lights', for the residents lit their houselights as American astronaut John Glenn passed overhead while orbiting the earth in 1962. Then there is the Perth Concert hall, where one can enjoy various theater, opera, and ballet etc.

One can travel around popular spots such as Swan River, WACA stadium, Kings Park and North bridge. North of Perth is called North bridge which is the heart of the entertainment. Western Australia is blessed with over 150 wineries and the wine country starts just a 30-minute drive from Perth in the beautiful Swan Valley. For the wine lovers, its a sin if they miss out on Margaret River, Pemberton, Perth Hills and the Swan Valley.
