Queen Annes Guesthouse in York; York Bed and Breakfast

Queen Anne's Guest House is situated in a quiet residential street less than a 10 minute walk away from the bustling streets, shops, bars, cafes and nightlife of York city centre. The York Guest House is also an ideal place for exploring the many and varied tourist destinations in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and the coastal resorts such as Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

From the York B&B you simply turn right onto Bootham and you see the magnificent Bootham Bar, which is one of the historic gateways to York city centre. If you walk through the bar and carry on for 30 seconds, which is still only five minutes from the B&B, you struggle to miss the stunning York Minster. York Minster is northern Europe's largest Gothic Cathedral and really is breathtaking from both the outside and inside. York is an exciting City steeped in history and there are plenty of pubs, restaurants, beautiful shops and places to visit to keep you entertained. Buskers in the narrow streets and "snickleways" really make the atmosphere something to remember.

Of course York is well known for its shopping, with a great mix of independent 'boutique' shops and the high street brands you'd expect. Without a doubt though, 'The Shambles' has to be the most famous of all York's streets, with either side leaning so far that they almost touch at roof level!

There are also a selection of excellent pubs close to Queen Annes Guesthouse. Many are situated close to York's historic city walls and have a good selection of local beers and real ales, some even serve excellent food at reasonable prices. Apparently, there are enough pubs in York for every night of the year! If you visit in the summer, make sure you make full use of the many outstanding beer gardens that York boasts, particularly the ones with views of the city walls and York Minster.

You’ll find plenty of information at Queen Annes Guesthouse to help you plan your stay and make your visit to York as enjoyable as possible! It’s a friendly York bed and breakfast, so don't be afraid to ask for suggestions!

Why not take advantage of their York special offers and experience the beautiful historic City of York for yourself.
