The city of Madrid is situated right in the heart of the peninsula at a height of 646 meters above sea level. A large artificial lake situated just inside the park is a notable attraction for the tourists. One can hire row-boats to pass some relaxing and eventful time at the park. The rose garden inside the park along with the Cecilio Rodriguez gardens allow for a little privacy time for the strollers to just take in the fresh air. The visitors can delight themselves to some quiet time at the art exhibitions held in the two buildings located in the middle of the park. These buildings are known as the ‘Palacio de Velazquez’ and ‘Palacio de Cristal’.
Another beautiful park worth a visit is the Casa de Campo which is located on the right bank of the Manzanares River. The park has an area of about 4000 acres. One can rent rowboats to enjoy a ride around the artificial lake situated within the park. The park also houses facilities for swimming and playing a game of tennis. The tourists will love a visit to one of the small and quiet parks ‘Parque Quinta Funte Del Berro’ which has a crisscross of paved pathways and lined with fountains and flower beds for a visual delight.
