What is a Site Safety Plan. A Principal Contractor managing a construction site is required under the OHS Regulation to develop a site safety plan . The site safety plan is simply a plan that will manage safety on site. It should include things such as OHS induction process, emergency procedures, site rules, safe work method statements from subcontractors and information about chemicals being used on site. It is not sufficient to have a plan, the principal contractor has an obligation to ensure it's adhered to by all subcontractors. This point is demonstrated in the above prosecution case. For more information on how to develop a site ohs plan please do not hesitate to contact us on 02 9635 4444 or info@advanceohs.com.au.
