Inclusion offers a warm feeling for anyone. Reading a newsletter is no different. Readers want to feel warm, be included and involved in the article content. From a corporate perspective, newsletters can serve to create or build upon an open culture—offering a voice for every internal cause. Whether the cause is dissemination of corporate information, the wellness and health of the employee base, or news about particular departments, a newsletter read by employees can be a valuable tool for the management team to steer, not push, the employees. Newsletter creation of this sort is actually far simpler than it sounds.

The overarching concept of newsletter creation for corporate culture is neither new, nor scientific. Sometimes it's best producing some corporate release internal news weekly and other news sometimes monthly is best. Each issue focuses on varying topics, but is amassed in such a way that positive attitudes are the by-product. These publications are sounding boards from the management to the employees, and vice versa. They and inter-departmental sounding boards—collaborative instruments as they may be, they need mediation and are best served in moderation. Define your audience. Then, it is simply a process of proper planning for the publisher to get the most into and out of the reader.

Newsletter creation for corporate purpose can include anything pertinent to the workforce, or regarding the company. Some examples are: news from various departments, corporate announcements and updates, news from individual staff members, editorials, a calendar and an advice section. Be cautious not to over advise. Speak more generally in advise ridden section, alluding to things like "stress reduction," or "employee physical wellness" makes a great deal of sense. These things should be demonstrably shown as important to the management. This too becomes part of the culture- a management team that cares is a management team with a sound employee base.

Cutting unimportant information, or filler, is important to maintain the readership of the employees. Obviously, it goes without saying that readership is what makes the newsletter a valuable tool. Be certain that corporate engagement is the overall goal of the newsletter, and keep it interactive by asking employees to submit articles, calendar events, or ideas for content. Making the newsletter exciting to the reader is tough, particular when relating to corporate news. However, a good voice and a steady stream of relevant information are great to build corporate inclusion. Production is the final and simplest step in newsletter creation. Choose a medium, electronic (email or web-based) or print. More and more frequently, companies are choosing non-printed mediums to reduce their carbon footprint. Employees and the general public appreciate this consideration.
