I have a 1075sqft home with very nicely finished basement. Has interior sheetrock walls and kitchen with all the amenities. Includes fire place in living area and 2 bedrooms one bath. Windows on each end and back and 3 access doors. Construction on basement was done in 2006. Original house was built in 1972 and well maintained. All brick, hard wood floors upstairs. Down stairs has dropped ceiling and tile floors. QUESTION, the finished basement outside walls are painted and fofu painted(very nice). Does the block outside walls (interior surface) have to be covered with sheetrock or paneling before the area can be counted as living space? Thanks, Paul.
