Combining Themes of a Room

When decorating a home, many wild ideas often popping around, such as the needs to present many themes in the home at once. But this often faced up with local “custom” that preventing us from decorating a home with more than one rule. It’s easier that way, indeed, but there’s nothng wrong if you want to try differently, though.

One thing to remember, this combination of themes cannot be done unproperly if you want to keep your home’s aesthetical value in a whole. The main principle would be that the differenciation of themes should be applied to different rooms, so the intended nuance could be felt. For instance, you’d feel a huge atmospherical difference when you walk from a minimalist living room to a bedroom with romantic theme bedroom. This theme could be accentuated with chocolate or maroon color on the walls, the bed or to the sheet itself.

Furniture and home accessories do play critical role in presenting and combining themes. Other way is by using home accesories already present in a room. If you have a classic theme painting in the guest room, this home accessory could still look good when sided with minimalistic themes. Combination of these theme would even provide new aura when you live inside. Look at the dominan colors of the painting to pick the nuance color you could apply to the sofa or carpet in the same room.

Beside home accessories, a melting between one room with another of different themes could be conduscted by using a similar wall color, or a gradation of it. For instance, cream-colored, light green and yellow aree considered “still in one tract”. Thus, you could make the home interior seems more harmonic and dynamic.

One thing for sure, the main base of each of those theme differences must still capable of giving maximum comforts to you, Not only for aesthetical sake, but also by considering their harmony with the function of a room.
