Find tips on how you can Create Pinch Pleat Drapes and different ways in which you can Clean them.
Pinch pleat drapes are a couple of of the best forms of window treatments that you are able to make. You can get the necessary patterns and fabrics that you need to use at most craft stores. They should have lightweight material that offer an airy appearance in your household. Or you can utilize something that is specifically for curtains and will supply more privacy. Whatever you select make sure that it has the proper colors and patterns that will match the room they are in.
Make a point to observe the directions carefully and to have all of the necessary instruments before you start. The first thing that you need to do is to sew together the curtain panels. You will need to add weights to them to make sure that they are hanging the right way. If weights are too expensive you can save money and use pennies instead. These need to be stitched into the hem of the curtains.
You should turn the panels over and press them except for the top of it. On the seam you must pull a line and press it to the lining. This cannot be seen in the front when it is hanging from the window. You should either hem or sew together the bottom of the curtains closed.
Fold the top of it half an inch before you press it entirely flat. Make a point to stitch them close to the edge. Use self pleater tape and fold it over the edges that you have not worked on.
To make the pleat drapes you will need to pull the header up and make three pleats for the three pronged hook. Or you can make two pleats for a double hook. Make sure to push the hooks through the pockets before hanging them up.
