How Western Tapestries Add Color To Southwestern Decorating

Western tapestries are a great way to bring authentic Native style to your home. If you like southwest and country decor, you will certainly enjoy using colorful tapestries in your rustic cabin, room or home. Practical in many ways, you will find that western tapestries, when used as a tapestry wall hanging or tapestry wall art, will liven up your room and give it a true western feel.

A lot of times people will add area rugs and runners to their homes but do not think of using wall tapestries made of the same colorful material to decorate their walls. The truth is that a wall tapestry is a simple way to decorate your rooms and bring life to your home decor. In addition, western tapestries can be used as vibrant pieces of art, worthy of display, because they are hand made.

There are so many different patterns available that you will easily be able to come across the best southwestern tapestry style to harmonize with your interior decorating. Southwest decor usually uses combinations of desert colors like pink, purple and turquoise.

Western themes look great with balancing colors like red, black and grey. For an American Indian feel, there are several patterns to choose from including traditional Navajo patterns and designs. It is also easy to find beautiful colors in every type of woven rug, and tapestry designs that keep getting more and more elaborate.

The exciting thing about decorating with western tapestries is that you can include them everywhere in your home. Use them as a hanging tapestry or as accent rugs to enhance western furnishings and southwestern accessories. Or, place them in doorways, in hallways, and in areas where you need to fill vacant floor space.

Put them in hallways or where you might normally put a framed picture for a unique design style. To create a more casual style, hang them at an angle to show that it is wall hanging art. You will be surprised at how much value they add to your home decor and how they impress your visitors.

When you start your interior design, use your color samples to decide which western tapestries and tapestry rugs to decorate with in your rooms, and you will be surprised with how they liven up your home. When you make your decisions, do not settle for cheap imitations that will lower the value of your home. Choose wool tapestries and tapestry rugs that are well made and crafted by hand since hand made wool is more durable and works best for creating the look you want

Spruce up your favorite room with a touch of the old west, or enhance the decor in your whole home using western tapestries and tapestry rugs to give it that great designer western style. Today you can easily find colorful tapestries to use in your home decor.

Many people buy them online or in stores that sell western and rustic home decorating items. If you want to enhance that one of a kind rustic or southwestern style in your interior design, start by using the beautiful, Native American colors and designs of western tapestries.
