Preventing Water Damage for Tabletop Fountains

Tabletop fountains may look very stunning and beautiful as an indoor water fountain however water damages are very prone to it. Because of this, you need to find the perfect spot inside your home or office for your purchased tabletop fountains. Make sure that once you had spotted the perfect area for it is that the water is trickily running with soothing sound for your time of enjoyment and relaxation. As you read along, take note of some simple precautions to avoid or prevent water damages and spilling for your tabletop fountains.

One of the most important precautions to take note when installing tabletop fountains inside your home or office is not to place it in spots or places wherein water can be able to damage something. This task is very easy and practical to do as a precaution. If you want to enjoy the benefits of your tabletop fountains, always remember this important task.

If you intend to place your tabletop fountain on a kind of wood furniture, you can use a1/4 inch of Plexiglas under it that can hardly be seen and clear. This material is available at any hardware store and be customized accordingly to your size specifications. However, it’s still an option for you if you want to cover the area or spot around the fountain. A decorative ceramic tile or hot plate will also do as replacements for the Plexiglas. More importantly, make sure that you will not damage anything on the fine wood finishes of the area or spot.

The most common water damages for tabletop fountains include splashing, condensation formation, and accidental tipping. The splashing damage is mainly cause of high flow rate of water in the fountain. Some tabletop fountains may have adjustment capability to lower or higher the water flow. However, there are some tabletop fountains that do not adjustment capability. With this case, you need to rearrange some of the rocks or objects inside the fountain that will help slow down the water flow.

Water damages for tabletop fountains may also result from the evaporation of water level. When water falls into the bottom of the fountain at its farthest level, water damages like spilling are likely to occur. Because of this, it is indeed important to keep the water inside the tabletop fountain at the appropriate level. Checking the water level on a regular basis would be important especially seasons of winter when the level of humidity is very low. As the science says, when humidity is very low faster water evaporation is likely to occur.
