Retired and live alone.I enjoy writing articles, and spend a lot of time on my computer.
Every person I talk to wants the big three automakers to go bankrupt and not survive on taxpayers charity. They have no sympathy for an industry and their employees that have been overpaid for too long. American made cars are overpriced and most auto workers earn 100 thousand bucks yearly if you include their benefits. is a phoney session now taking place in congress that will bail out the big three with 35 billion of taxpayer money on the promise that they will change their ways. A leopard never changes its spots and the American auto industry will never become profitable.
The lifting of regulations on automobiles entering the U.S. if lifted can drive the price of a standard 6 cylinder automobile to under 7 thousand dollars. This can happen if the free market is allowed to flourish in the auto industry. But greedy manufacturers are in collusion to keep the prices at almost unaffordable levels. This wrong has to be corrected and the American public should be given a chance to buy a decent car at half price. There is a conspiracy to keep the global prices of cars twice as high. We can buy autos from foreign car makers for half the price if American car makers would mind their own business.
Most people in the service industries are now forced to peddle to the bus stop because they cannot afford the high prices of an auto. This is not fair because every working person should be able to afford to buy one. In the 70s even the guy stacking the shelves in the store had a car. The drive in movies were filled with low paid people and they all were in a car with their girlfriend and a bag of fries. Things have changed and I would like to know why.
