Guide to the Calgary Telus Convention Centre
One of Canada’s leading trade show and convention centres, the Calgary Telus Convention Centre is situated in Alberta and encompasses more than one hundred and thirty thousand square feet of space for exhibitions, events and meetings. It is one of North America’s most popular venues for hosting large, international shows and conferences.
A significant degree of the success of the convention centre can be directly attributable to its superb facilities and use of technology, with high-tech facilities available in every meeting room and exhibition hall.
Set within an area containing many historical buildings, the Calgary Telus Convention Centre has a twenty thousand-foot square ballroom, more than sixty-five thousand square feet of exhibition space, five foyers with show areas, and twenty-seven breakout rooms.

- The Westin Calgary which is on 4th Avenue and offers a fantastic indoor swimming pool, twenty-three meeting rooms and a total of five hundred and twenty-five bedrooms spread over nineteen floors;
- The Sheraton Suites Hotel is on Barclay Parade and has three hundred and twenty-three bedrooms over fifteen floors. It doesn’t have a swimming pool but it does have a whirlpool with picture windows offering an amazing view of the city;
- The Fairmont Palliser Calgary is connected to the Telus Convention Centre by the Skywalk and is one of Calgary’s most elegant hotels offering great service at very good rates together with a stunning indoor swimming pool; and
Indoor parking is provided at the Telus Convention Centre and there are several public car parks within easy walking distance. Calgary is a city that offers many attractions including fine restaurants and a great choice of shops and stores. Calgary is also one of the major centres for business with many leading corporations choosing it for their head office location.
In 2000, the convention centre was extensively renovated and refurbished and is now comparable with many other leading convention centres owing to its superb location, excellent facilities, cutting-edge technology and impeccably trained staff. Many exhibitors and visitors regard the Telus Centre to be almost peerless and definitely one of North America’s leading trade show facilities.
