Travelling to London on Business in 2009

Now that the United Kingdom is officially in recession companies are scrutinising their budgets and looking to cut costs. Business travel is an area of particular concern to organisations who send staff around the world on essential business on a regular basis. Despite the amazing array of computer based communications available in 2009, the face to face meeting has to go on and can be a major item of expenditure for all companies, large and small. Training has to go on and many companies need to continue to exhibit internationally to develop their business.

For companies sending employees in London on temporary project assignments, serviced apartments can offer a very cost effective option, especially when groups of four or more staff are involved.

Staff will benefit from spacious accommodation with separate fully equipped kitchen for meal preparation and a bathroom. Even in smaller studio apartments, staff will have sufficient space to work and entertain friends and clients. Broadband internet is offered in many of the apartments, in many cases at no extra charge.

Business executives are able to enjoy the services one would expect in an international hotel, whilst enjoying the freedom and privacy of a private apartment.  Small budget studios are available for the business person travelling alone. Further up the scale, there are a host of serviced apartments available for the international family who are temporarily in London on business. And for those who are looking for total luxury, superb penthouses are available in a number of convenient locations.

Most serviced apartments are located in the busy hubs of London, a short distance from London Underground stations, as well as restaurants, bars and nightlife.

Go City Apartments offer particularly versatile accommodation in the City of London, Trafalgar Square, Kensington and Holborn Covent Garden. Many apartments are located in modern blocks with lifts and others with contemporary interiors are concealed behind grand old Victorian facades of Knightsbridge and Clerkenwell.

Many people are surprised to learn that you can rent an apartment from only one night upwards! Now that the credit crunch is a fact of life, companies need to do all they can to economise. In this regard, serviced apartments are an attractive alternative to hotel accommodation and offer the best of both worlds for both companies and staff.  Flexibility is the key!
