1. Is the company a new one? The company should be in business for at least 5 years.

2. What is the payment method used by the company? Is it money orders, electronic deposit or company checks?

3. Ask the company about their start-up cost? What is included in the start-up cost? What is the amount of money that you have to spend before receiving the pay check? Will any of the start-up fees given back to you later?

4. What does the package include—just the photo or a product’s sample? If the package does not have a sample, then you can even add one to the kit. You can either add it to the kit or even buy it later. If you buy the sample, can you resell it or return it afterwards?

5. After registration how much time does it take to get the package? Does the company ship FedEx or US Postal Service etc?

6. Are any special tools needed for making the product? How is the product made? Is the product made up of wood, paper or plastic? Does the kit have all the tools? Is there any photo available?  

7. Is any special skill required for assembling the product? Some of the assembly programs need cross-stitching or sewing or other such skills.

8. How are the payments issued? Most of the companies pay on monthly basis. So, is this mode of payment fine with the company?

9. Does the company offer any assembly help? You may have questions on the assembly, so ask if you can make a call to them for assembly assistance. If yes, then at what hours will they be available?

10. What materials are used for assembly? Can additional supplies be purchased from company or do you need to buy them all by yourself? Where should you go to buy the supplies if you have to buy them locally?
