Every affiliate Marketing business that wants to increase its bottom-Line profit needs to implement a collection of back-end offers and products.But what are these back-end offers and products? A good start would be distinguish between front-end and back-end products.
The front-end refers to the lead offer or lead product. Your lead offer is what you advertise or promote to your market from your website - the offer that initially draws potential customers to your site and onto your opt-in list. The back-end refers to the offers that you make as follow-ups after an initial sale. Existing customers are much more likely to buy from you again if you present them with another offer. If you want to earn a real income from your affiliate marketing business, you must follow-up with existing customers.
The purpose of the back-end offers is to generate repeat business . You capitalize on the interests of existing customers by offering them additional related products . The majority of your income is going to be generated by back-end offers. Follow-up offers are almost always for product or services that carry a higher price tag than the lead product or differ in terms of the products format.
The second and equally important purpose of the back-end is to gain leverage. As a smart investor , the way to take your affiliate marketing business to the next level is by diversifying your investments. Having a back-end system boosts your profits beyond what you make in one affiliate program alone or with a single product.
As an affiliate marketer, you can use affiliate products that are related and consistent with your main offer for the back-end .You can either create your own products or find additional affiliate programs to fill out your back-end. You can start out by offering one to two additional products each month , one of which should include a residual - income program . Residual-income affiliate programs are those that pay you on a monthly basis for the life of the customers you reffered. These type of programs are usually service-based products sold as monthly subscriptions or membership and the key with them is to refer as many people as you can retain them.
Successful Affiliate Marketers never promote just one product. They don't earn the bulk of their income from the front-end, nor do they use the front-end for high- ticket products. Their real income generators come from the back end. The back-end offers are carefully chosen. You have to look at not just higher priced products, but also at products that offer you the opportunity to earn residual or passive streams of income.
In conclusion, it is clear that successful internet affiliate marketers don't rely on front-end sales alone. A successful business model requires that you maximize the lifetime value of every customer by including a solid back-end follow-up series in your sales tunnel .
