A WEP Key Cracker also protects you from viral infections which could be passed onto your system by a random number of computers within the signal’s range. Remember, these viruses are “involuntary” most of the time. This means that even if you’re friends with the computer owner, you should avoid letting it enter your network. The computer could be infected with a virus, and could put your network at risk. Make sure that when you choose a penetration scanning system such as this one, you choose one that requires no installation, so you can access it from any computer within your network.
Web Content Filter
You also need to make sure that your network is equipped with a web content filter. This is because while you may have your system fenced in from the outside, you have no full control of the outgoing communications each of your computers make. If you want to gain better network control, you should find ways to block harmful websites from your network. You can do this by installing a web content filter into your server.
A web content filter also allows you to conserve the bandwidth of your network. Let’s say you’re managing 50 computers in a company, you can make sure that the internet connection of these 50 computers are used solely for office purposes only. Filtering the accessible website addresses in your network also allows you to protect your entire system from viruses and spam online better.
You should definitely install a web content filter if your network is being used by kids or minors. This can help you block websites which have indecent content, and applications or chat rooms which put the child’s life in danger.
