Are you getting ready for the senior prom night that you have always waited for? Oh, wait a second what is that on your face? Is that a pimple? rather an overgrown pimple. This must have struck you like havoc. This is not only with you; all the women around you go through the same problems. However, they manage to look great and dazzling. Have you ever wondered why? It is not due to any magic wand. Pimples and dark circles are part of our daily routine. Especially those who have a strict schedule and are working round the clock, they know what dark circles are. Therefore if you are trying to get rid of the dark circles and pimples and you are out of time, you should probably revert to the magic wand of “Cosmetology”. It is none other than concealers.
Concealers are basically a paste like substance which is used to hide the pimples and dark circles on your skin. This is mainly used for the purpose of providing a clean and spotless base of skin for make up. Concealers are being widely used by everyone these days. The most interesting point about concealers is that it is a unisexual makeup product. Therefore it is also being used by men. Concealer usually comes in three different types. These include:
- Solid/Thick Concealer: This type of concealer is usually meant to be used for intense visible scars or grown up pimples. However if you have a soft skin and you do not have extra grown up pimples, you should not use solid concealer. Solid concealer has a thick solution and therefore you have to be very careful while applying it near the eyes. If you are to apply some concealer on or near the eyes, solid concealer should not be used.
- Liquid Concealer: Liquid concealer is perhaps regarded as the most common and most friendly to any skin. Liquid concealer comes as a solution and therefore it can be applied to your face or skin by hands. It is not regarded harmful for the skin and eyes; however, make sure it does not get in to direct contact with the eyes. Otherwise, it works fine for covering dark circles or any scars.
- Lipstick/Stick Concealer: Lipstick concealer has become one of the most important parts of ever woman’s “make up first aid kit”. This is the easiest to apply. It comes as a lipstick, and can be readily applied to the affected area. This is however recommended for urgent need at parties or social gatherings.
There are few things that you need to keep in your mind while applying a concealer. If you are applying a concealer along with a simple foundation, make sure that you apply the foundation first and afterwards apply concealer. However, if you are using a cream/liquid foundation, you should make sure that you apply the concealer first; otherwise the foundation will spread around.
Another important tip is to make sure that the color of concealer matches with your skin, otherwise you will just be making your scars and pimples more prominent.
