Is ANYONE out there aware of affordable hi speed internet access for rural customers? Is there any new technology being developed in this area? I would love to look at video on the web. Hi there, I am going travelling soon, and i have heard about skype being great for staying in touch with friends and family. All sounds great, and I get that you have to set up an account, and you need a headset and webcam, but i just want to know how easy it is to use?
Is it ok to use it in internet cafes in Oz, NZ and Thailand?
Is it something my mum, who has very little computer knowledge, will be able to use?
Also what is the Skype phone- and how does that work?
