How Unamoo Works

You know that you have to do a search on the female form for an art project and you’re a little bit worried. Aside from having to do hours of research, you’re thinking about the time you’re about to waste desperately trying to wade through the cleverly disguised adult content images and web pages on Google’s huge set of search results, pages that potentially phish your identity or distribute viruses. And, of course, you’re watching over your shoulder, hoping your children don’t come racing through the room—potentially seeing the wrong images on your monitor at the wrong time. Then theres your browser history to consider as well … don’t forget to delete that. Whew, what a hassle just to do some research!
So how do you avoid the problem? It seems like every search engine out there has filters, but if you turn them on, they keep you from finding the articles and pictures you need to complete your work. And you’re tired of writing complaint letters to customer service departments at Google, Yahoo and MSN live asking for the searches to be safe, and usable, at the same time.
But you don’t have to worry. There is a solution that will make it easier to do the research you want to do on the internet and won’t deplete your search results.
Unamoo
Unamoo? What’s that? Unamoo is a search engine with embedded filters that seek out adult and unsavory content, including viruses and phishing web sites and remove it before you ever see it, but don’t take away general and educational content that normal search engine filters would remove.
So Unamoo is completely devoid of adult content and virus web sites?
Unamoo is new and growing every day, so it isn’t perfect and sometimes, the most cleverly disguised adult content do manage to slip through.
But that’s where some of the other great features of Unamoo come into play.
Unamoo creators do everything they can, from general filters to personal scans of the pages that go up on the search engine. You won’t get that from the major search engines!
But you, the user, also have the power to make Unamoo a better place to search. Think of Unamoo as a way to give back to a safer search community.
When you enter in your keywords and get your search results you have the option to report sites that have adult and other suspicious content.
The creators of Unamoo take the user community very seriously and investigate every report thoroughly to make sure the claims are valid and that unwanted sites are promptly removed from the search engine.
But what if a site I need doesn’t appear on the search?
Unamoo crawls the internet daily searching for new content and the latest news, just like Google and Yahoo do. But because Unamoo is new, there can be some sites missing. Don’t worry. Safe sites can be manually added to Unamoo just like with other major search engines. You can add as many safe sites to Unamoo as you want, so you can help make the best search engine on the internet even better for yourself and for other users. With Unamoo’s hard work and your help, the site can have as many results as the major search engines in no time.
And you won’t have to worry about all of the other junk that comes in with your Google or Yahoo search on Da Vinci’s female form.
That’s the beauty of user-powered search engines.
So use the search engine that’s powered for you and by you: Unamoo.
