Secret No.1
The ebooks that you are trying to resell must be on a hot topic! The hotter the topic the most chances you have of making money with your ebook. Search and see what people are looking for online and then just give it to them. Search through search engines and do some keyword research also to see what people are looking for in your niche. You could also use Yahoo Answers to see what people are asking (this could give you a great head start and could possibly give you a niche to play with). After that, the hardest part in all of this is collecting the truck loads of cash 
Secret No.2
Resell ebooks that have a great title and superb graphics! Do you know the old saying: Don't judge a book by it's cover! Well, we all judge books (in this case ebooks by their covers) so only resell ebooks that are appealing to you and you would want to buy them. If you like the cover, chances are that other people will like it too and want to buy the ebook.
Also take a look at the title of the ebook. Is it a hot title? Is it related to the content of the ebook or not? Are the words in the tile or at least some of them a possible search term that people may be using to find what they are looking for? Here is an example for this last point so that you better understand what I'm trying to say here.
Let's say that I'm looking for information on how to get my own blog up and running. I'm a business owner - I've got a small business online, and I want to create a blog because blogs are hot and this way I can communicate with my customers and potential costumers better. So, I'll go to Google and type in "Business Owner's Guide To Blogging" in the search bar. Now if you resell ebooks with that title or something close to it then you have better chances of getting that customer. I hope you understand now.
Secret No.3
Resell ebooks at a reasonable price tag! Read the ebook you are going to resell and put a value on it. Then start searching for people who are reselling the same book or something similar and see what they are asking for it. The idea here is not to resell ebooks for $1! No way! If you try to do this you will get a couple of sales but people will stop buying for you because your price is too low!
Yes, you've heard that right! Too low! If someone reads your sales letter and is ready to buy from you and then they see the $1 price tag they'll get suspicious and that's the last thing that you want! They'll think: Why is this guy only asking $1 for this ebook if he says it's got the answer to all my problems? It must be a lie." And they won't buy.
So, be honest when you set your price and see what the competitors are doing and act accordingly.
