Maybe it all boils down to time; you may want to spend more time with your family. Money is a good reason, fulfillment is another. If you don't enjoy doing it, what's the point of starting a home business?

2. What do you plan to put into your home based internet business?

Are you willing to put in the time, effort and money it takes to make it successful?

3. How much money can you spend on your internet home business?

This may include the initial cost for the business plus the additional costs: advertising, website setup, domain naming service, etc.

4. What are your plans for your business?

Are you planning to retire in 2 years? How much money do you plan to make? Etc.

5. What are you willing to do to make your work at home business a success?

Are you willing to use different avenues to get your business advertised?

The questions above provide the base for our work at home goals. Goals are so important! One problem that most people run into is that they think that once their goals are set that it's fine just to leave it like that. Goals must be constantly upgraded, so if you reach a goal then another one should be put in.

Training programs differ from one opportunity to the next. If you're a veteran internet marketer, the training may not be that much of an issue to you, but if you're just starting out this would be really important.

Everybody has strengths and weaknesses, finding a home business that capitalizes on your strengths while helping you with weaknesses is a win-win situation.

Start by making a list of your strengths and your weaknesses, once you have these listed, it's now time to do the research!

Research can be as easy as doing a search online for home based internet business or as complicated as reading page after page of sales pages. What it boils down to is how well you answered your above questions and how realistic your answers are. In other words, saying that you want to make a million dollars by next week is not very realistic and the chances of doing that are very slim. So, if you're having trouble finding a business that fits into your guidelines then maybe you need to go back through the questions again!

The time that we spend without our families is lost. Pretty soon there will be no more tomorrows. Kids grow up so fast and soon they will be off on their own and how much did you miss out on because of the grind?

I remember when I was working 40+ hours a week and there were a lot of times that I could think of a lot better things to do than killing myself at work! Have you thought about this yourself? The hardship I was putting on my body from working and from getting older, made me realize that there was a lot of damage that I was doing and didn't even realize it! I was thinking that there has to be a better option than putting my body through all that just to make money.

How can you tell the difference between hype and excellence when someone tells you that they have a great program?

Experience - if you talk with someone who has experience with what you are going through or has been around the block a few times and has seen the struggles that many have gone through, doesn't that build trust and justify the statements that the person is telling you?

Believe me I've tried a bunch of online businesses, only to be disappointed with the program itself or getting the word out that everybody has already tried it and doesn't like it! One of the worst things I've found is that some programs you pay a Huge chunk of change to pay for the product and as soon as you get into it you realize that the whole program was just to sell that same program that you bought and has no intrinsic value what so ever!

What does it really boil down to? Isn't it trust that makes the difference to you? If you don't trust someone, does it matter what they tell you! You will assume that the statement is pure fiction, until you check it out for yourself!
