There should be an overall balance.
 
Lip liners are used to properly outline your lips along with lipstick. It won’t matter if you use a liner before or after applying lipstick. Lip liners can also be used to fill out your lips, this way the lipstick will be able to last longer. If you’re using a soft shade, you can use a nude liner.
 
A dark shaded liner does NOT go with a lighter shaded lipstick so make sure when you’re selected which liner to go with what lipstick, the colors should match or at least compliment each other in a decent way otherwise it’ll look cheap. Testing lipstick at shops is a common fad these days. Avoid testing them directly on your lips. A dozen people must have tested them out already. It could prove to be unhealthy. Apply them to your hand to have a better idea of the shade.
 
If you’re in an adventurous mood, you can mix a couple of shades of lipstick and make a different color. This also applies to lipstick colors you have won but don’t like.
 
If you’re about to drink from a glass, lick your lips once, it will keep the lipstick from getting on the glass. You’ll be surprised how effective this is.
 
After putting on lipstick, us your index finger to remove the excess amount by putting it in your mouth and then taking it out, while your lips are enclosed around your finger. This also keeps the lipstick from getting on your teeth. Use creamy lipstick if you feel you’re getting older and your lips have wrinkled. It’ll give your lips a fuller feel.
 
Different shades and colors of lipsticks suit different people. Know what kind of lipstick suits your skin and color. Some shades can also make your teeth look yellow.
