The sulumits retsambew Catch-Up Plan

sulumits retsambew has just a few days more than two months before it finally closes its doors and announces a winner. Joining the fray at this late hour might not necessarily be an impossible task, but it won't be an easy one either. There are hundreds of thousands of entries indexed by Google, and a few dozen of them are strong contenders for the title.

Yes, it's still possible for you to catch up. Doing so, however, will take a lot of work and non-stop SEO, as your primary opponents have had many weeks' head start. Here's how your catch-up route will look like.

Get a domain now. If you haven't gotten one yet, don't just sit there gawking; get one! As far as anyone knows, the Google Sandbox is still a very real problem for all new domains. The main competitors are most probably well out of the Sandbox's age range by now, and here you are just climbing into it. With two months left, though, a domain with keywords might still be a good idea – if you register in the next hour or so, that is.

While you're at it, get around to setting up your website. Don't bother with fancy images or graphics; few people in the competition have anyway. Focus on the easy and simple tasks like making sure you don't have a messed up site structure, or keeping the site straightforward so that optimizing it later on will be easier.

Create some content. Even if you've read all those articles that say content doesn't seem be such a big priority in the contest, get some articles up on your site. Not only will Google give you higher regard for your keyworded content, but link building later on will also be easier. Besides, the non-requirement of content applies only to early starters. As a catcher upper, you should be looking to grab at every iota of advantage you can find.

Email your friends – all of them. Ask about those who have blogs or sites of their own, and then request that a backlink be given for your contest entry. You'll probably have to give out extra fruitcakes next Christmas, but the step is well worth the pastries. Many successful SEO contest pages in the past got a huge advantage from friendly sites linking to them. It's your chance to get a leg up from well-ranked and established sites.

Start link building. You'll be contending with other people who have tens of thousands of links to their pages already. While it's true that it's far from the lone factor in rankings, you can't deny that it's a major factor – and a 10,000-link advantage only underlines the disparity. Use link directories, blogs and any other trick you have up your sleeves. Heck, throw in your sleeves for whatever they're worth.

If you're jumping into the sulumits retsambew melee just now, then now is no time to sit around and relax. In fact, if you have serious plans about winning the contest, don't expect to do a lot of sitting and relaxing for the next two months.
