Article marketing is perhaps the best traffic generation and promotional tool online. At the same time, it is not without its flaws. Let's discuss the pros and cons of article marketing.
Pros
1. Creates long-term traffic to your site. When the number of backlinks to your site increases, they will accumulate over time and slowly add on to your ranking in the search engines.
The more the backlinks, the higher the rankings.
2. Boosts credibility instantly when people search for more information about you using the search engines. In fact, this is a fast trick to determine the credibility of the source and if they are truly an expert in their field. Simply pull out the browser and run their name on the search engine.You will see if they are reliable sources of information.
If you can't find any information about them, it's most likely the person is not credible. So you might want to take what they say or what they sell with a pinch of salt.
3. Useful leads generation method. Article marketing is able to drive targeted traffic to your site. That would be helpful, isn't it? Why?
Because the link to your site is at the end of the entire articles, and only interested readers would ever land in that last paragraph.
Cons
1. Requires time and a substantial level of writing skills. Article marketing has two long processes - article writing and article promotion.
The trouble is that since many internet marketers have little or no training in article writing, they will find article writing a wee bit challenging and tiring.
And that's not to mention article promotion - it takes up time too. Think about how much time it would take for us to look for article sites and publishers to syndicate our articles to.
