One of the things that keeps many people from making any amount of income on the Internet via affiliate marketing is the fact that they think there's a magic gold key that opens a door, behind which is the Super Kingdom. They strive, work hard trying this and that hoping that the last this or the next that is that very key.
Unfortunately, the this's and that's of the Internet are the very things that keep people from making the money they want to make. There's an old addage called, K.I.S.S - typically this acronym stands for 'keep it simply stupid' but you've maybe heard of some other unsavory variations. Either way, this is actually the gold key every person striving to succeed online is looking for.
This simplicity, this key is actually nothing more than putting products people want to buy - in front of people who want to buy them. That's it, that's all. There's nothing more to it and there's nothing complicated about it, it's simple.
Of course, there will be people who say there's much more to it than that. There's getting traffic, lots and lots of traffic. There's building massive web sites with thousands of pages. There's this and there's that.
Sure, there are things like that but they're not that complicated and the truth of the whole matter is: you don't need a ton of traffic and you don't need millions of pages or complicated websites to make money as an affiliate marketer. You simply need to bring together buyers with the products they want to buy.
Keep it simple. Instead of trying to build sites that try to cater to each and every scenario you can think of that may bring your target customer in, work on building sites that bring in customers that are ready to pop open their wallets and buy right now. You'll soon notice that by taking this route, you'll see your commission checks getting larger and larger - even without masses of pages and masses of traffic streaming to your site.
