Article Marketing: Author’s Resource Box

Are you an article marketer? Do you promote your product, affiliate products, or ad programs like Adsense with articles? If so how do you construct your author’s resource box? Is it short and succinct or do you have a long winded bio with a boring link to your site at the end of it.

Boring Old Bio

If you have been article marketing for a while now you probably have been told at some point or another that you should include a little something about yourself in the resource box at the end of the article. You’ve probably been told that it gives the reader an idea of who you are so they will trust you more when they visit your site. Well, let me tell you something you may not have heard yet…

…the reader doesn’t care about you.

I know that probably hurts a little because you put so much time and effort into creating the article just for the reader that the idea that they don’t care is a bit insulting. Well, get over it because they don’t care. They are looking for a problem to solve and if you can solve it then good (it doesn’t matter to them what you’ve accomplished online).

Solid Bio

Get right to the point. A simple sentence with the main emotional hot button is exactly what will give you the most click throughs. You can make it quick and to the point. An example would be “Click here to cure your acne in the next 4 days.” These are the types of author bios that will garner the most clicks. Try it yourself to find out.
