Now, you're trying to portray yourself online as an industry expert, maybe a top income earner in your business. You’re pushing content out there, you have videos on your website, you’re not getting the results that you want, and you’re wondering why. The problem is that you're not being yourself. Fake it – until you make it, sound familiar? You see, when you emulate somebody else, when you’re trying to tell their story with your words, all you're going to get is a swing and a miss.
It is important for your marketing to have content that provides extra value for your products and service. But, showing people that you are a pillar of success and your knowledge can further help them solve their problem, well that is attraction marketing. Go online and search your business, look at the ads, read the copy, watch the videos. You will be able to tell who is real and who is not. The marketers that provide that extra value or come across as a expert on a related subject have a much better change of converting the prospect into a customer.
What I want you to do right now is to imagine yourself on a marketing video on your website. As your prospect watches your video, they begin to understand that your particular expertise will be of big benefit to them if they buy your product or service. Now you may be thinking to yourself, “What expertise?” Everybody has something they can do, something they can apply to their particular business that will provide that extra value to their customer, and help close the sale. I want to take a minute now and think about your business. What can you bring to the table that will be of value to others? Remember, it’s important to keep your business in mind, because you want your expertise to be of benefit to your customers and prospects. If your expertise and business are not related, then you need to go back to the drawing board. You may have to take some time with this to make sure that your expertise will be a feature or benefit to your business.
Here is a personal example:
When I got started with internet marketing, I knew nothing about it. I could have spent months or even years trying to figure who Matthew, the internet marketing guy was, but I’m too impatient to do that. So, I took a step back and thought; what do I know that is of value to someone who is just starting out in my business. I’m thankful my expertise was not a snake, because it took me a while to figure it out. Even then, there were a few test runs before it dawned on me; I have been a successful home business entrepreneur for over ten years. Because of my success, I know how to side step a few land mines and help those who are just getting started in home business avoid the same mistakes I did. I think you will agree that this would be benefit to my customers.
When you embrace your expertise, both your writing and video will drip confidence. Highlight your expertise so your prospects will see how it will help them solve their problem, and your conversions will go through the roof. It’s really that simple. Be yourself and don’t try to be somebody else and sell your story with your words.
Have fun and remember success is not an event but a process.

The new advertizing guidelines by the major search engines and media distribution outlets have some online marketers screaming free trade infringement. I’m guessing I am part of the minority when say this, but “Good for you internet.” You see, I have been both the windshield and the bug, with online campaigns that yield 200+ leads a day, and weeks of looking at NO impressions (Impressions = The Number Of Times Your Ad Is Shown) as well.
