I am writing a brief tutorial on “Bum Marketing”.
This is just one look at how this can be done. I have used this exact method to make some extra money.
Go to clickbank.com and find a product that you feel comfortable promoting. If you haven’t signed up for clickbank then you need to do that first.
Once you have picked a product to promote the next thing you need to do is go grab a domain name. The places I usually go are register.com or godaddy.com. I would try to get a catchy domain name that is similar to the product you are going to promote. One example would be if you are promoting Nike® then you would choose something like <a href="http://www.buynikeshere.com" target="_blank">www.buynikeshere.com</a> or something similar. It will cost you under 10 dollars to purchase a domain name.
Now that you have a product and a domain name you will need to tie the domain name to the product website. You do this by going to the domain provider and forwarding your domain name to you product referral url. That way when someone types in your domain name it will go right to the page of the product and you will get credit for the sale.
Now, this is the hard part. You want to get your domain name on as many search engines as possible. The way that I do this is write articles that relate to the product and upload them to article submission sites. Make sure you put a link in your signature block. This will get you on Google and Yahoo in no time flat. I would start out by writing about 2 articles a day. After a few weeks you should have a hundred or so back link to your domain name. Also, you may want to subscribe to a few forums in the niche you chose and start posting. Make sure you don’t spam in the forum. Just write generic posts, the key is to get your domain name in your signature block. This will just add to your link count on google.
Once you get traffic it is just a numbers game. The more people that you can get to click on your link the better chance you will get a sale. Keep posting to the forums and keep submitting articles. I know this is a brief tutorial but it is a good place to start.
