Blogs are kinds of websites that maintain the regular entries of commentary, events, text data and graphical data. They are continuously updated and may also contain links to articles on other sites and other blogs. They are a very useful and free tool for Internet marketing.

Archives are older blogs arranged by dates. They can be category specific depending upon the topics. Blogs can also be archived by favourite author, this facility to archive them makes blogging very popular.
6.) Feeds
Web feeds is a special software, which provides bloggers with frequently updated content from Internet or from other blogging sites. The popular feeds are RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication).
7.) Blogrolls
If the blog author finds some webpages interesting, and also finds some other blogs with similar interests, then he/she may put them up in his/her own blogs. These links are called Blogrolls.
8.) Syndication
The dictionary meaning for syndication is “a group of individuals making collective efforts to complete a task”. Many web blogs provide blog feeds that continuously check specific blogs to see if their contents are updated or not. The updated links are displayed on the blogs. These feeds collect all the updates from other blogs, so that bloggers do not have to check for updates.
10.) Comments
Here, users put comments on the posts, articles and may recommend some related links. They are known as trackbacks and pingbacks. In Internet marketing, blogs with related contents increase the traffic.
11.) Pretty Permalinks
They are permanent URLs to individual blogposts, categories and links to other blogposts. It is a link with which other blogger will visit your blog. Internet marketing word for this can be “reciprocal link”. The permalinks are supposed to be “hackable”. This means, user can modify the link to navigate to other section.
Reasons to use blogs for Internet marketing:
-Simple. Post a blog, which relates to your product and service. Update it regularly.
-Others with same interests will visit your blog if they consider it informative, making it popular.
-Blogs are free. While in Internet marketing, you have to pay for PPC, ad campaign and such things, blogs provide free publicity and facility to post links.
