Do You Make These 3 Stupid Mistakes When Writing Articles

Here's a closely guarded secret that very few marketers are willing to share with the rest of us.

It's the power of article promotion!

One of the most effective ways you'll ever discover for bringing more traffic to your website is simply by writing highly targeted, informative, entertaining articles that can be freely distributed throughout the Internet.

But a lot of webmaster just spin their wheels when it comes to writing articles. They don't really know or have not been taught the best ways to maximize their efforts.

Here are 3 of the biggest mistakes most article writers make:

* The article headline is weak.
* The article reads like an ad.
* The bio or resource box is ineffective

Now there are another bunch of mistakes that article writers make but these are the most rampant errors I find today. I'll bet you thought the major mistakes included boring articles, didn't you?

Believe it or not that is not the major reason for failure when it comes to getting your article distributed.

Put yourself in the shoes of an ezine, blog, or site owner for just a moment. If your article headline is weak, wouldn't you assume the content is just as weak?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but people do judge a book by its cover. Your headline to an article is your cover.

If you were looking for quality content to use in your ezine or anywhere else, would you want content or a blatant advertisement for the author's website or products?

You don't have to be an Einstein to figure that one out and I promise you this is not a quiz. Just use some common sense.

In order to be successful in the article promotion business you need to think about your customer.

Who's your customer?

The article directories and people who will want to distribute your content. End of story.

So write your articles to give them what they want. Great content that they can use to inform, educate, or entertain their site visitors.

Finally, if you've done a good job you can't just quit there. It's time to tell the world about you. You do that in the bio or resource box. Don't drop the ball on this one. This is your last chance to make a first impression.

Make it a great one!
