There are two major types of Ebay Affiliate Scripts. Ebay Partner Network Affiliate Auction viewer scripts, and Ebay Affiliate store building scripts.
The first one is a script that allows website and blog owners to display Ebay Partner Network Affiliate auctions on there site. Some scripts only show auctions in certain countries while others(thewebsiteprofessionals.com/twp-auctions/) give you the ability to display auctions from around the world on your site.
So why would you need to display eBay affiliate auctions on your site? The "obvious" reason is so you can drive traffic to your site and make money from everybody that buys from the auction that your displaying.
But wait a minute.... Your displaying an eBay auction...Who hasn't heard of eBay?
Sure you could change the coding in the script and get rid of the eBay logos, but once customers decide to pay for items there going to know that your using eBay, so you can't past an eBay affiliate auction off as being your own personally ran auction.
Ebay is the most dominant auction site in the world, so the chances of somebody scrolling to your website looking for an auction is slim to none. You would be better off if you personally found people looking for items(in places such as craigslist for example) and provided them with an affiliate link to the product that there looking for. This is the surest way to make eBay affiliate sales.
The second Ebay Affiliate Script that is "all the rave" is the, automatic eBay affiliate store builder. This script sets up a "fully" functioning eBay affiliate store for you.
Personally, I don't think the script is worth the money. You can read the how-to guide on Ebay.com and learn everything you need to know about setting up an eBay affiliate store. So there's no reason to purchase an eBay affiliate store building script.
If you really want to make money as an eBay affiliate you have to find people searching for good affordable products and provide them with what they need. With a good knowledge of classified ad sites you can make all the money that you'll every need as an eBay Affiliate.
