No, because much of this get treated as spam since can be very annoying, people should think not from their perspective but from the one of their potential customers. Newsletters can be a powerful way to fidelize customers but must be used with intelligence: first, people should have the possibility to unsubscribe and second, should be a delivering of useful informations with links to our site for a further reading.
