How to Use Chiropractic Marketing Web 2.0 on Twitter

Chiropractors in 2009 are no doubt looking for the newest, untapped ways to market their practices and get new patients especially in this horrible economy. In my opinion, internet and virtual tactics have proven to be some of the best and effective ways the profession has ever seen! Chiropractors caught resisting the current online chiropractic marketing web 2.0 potential for their practices are quite honestly gambling in the highest way. But, is all the web 2.0 hype really deserved?

In short.... YES, which moves us to another game-changing network many might not be aware of. Twitter has burst onto the scene as one of the hottest outlets for viral chiropractic marketing on the internet, and like all the other social media sites, it's absolutely free. Would you be a fool to not twitter and tweet like the rest? You betcha!

Twitter started in March of 2006 as an experiment, and has since taken-off to be so incredibly powerful that we are just realizing the potential. In essence, Twitter is a text-based Micro-Media / Micro-Blogging forum. Think of blogging, confining the blog to 140 words, and sending that blog out into a community of interested people. If you're a chiropractor and you're not seeing the potential of this, then these economic times could perhaps get a lot more tough for you. Sites like Twitter that offer the free face-to-face marketing are helping tons of businesses that are riding it's wave.

Sort of like a hybrid of social media sites and blogs, Twitter allows you to create and remove friends, build a community of people with shared interests, and special groups. What this means for chiropractors is that you have the potential to meet people (locally) and make friends in your community. This literally gives free and consistent updates about what's happening in your practice, recent news from the office, tips of the day, and so much more.

This is not only branding your chiropractic practice in your area as the authority to turn to, but it's also creating relationships that are built on trust. The trust is the key, because when people feel like they know you as a human being, they will absolutely think of you first when they need a chiropractor. Relationships are the real chiropractic marketing web 2.0 goldmine, and doctors can find a massive untapped market in the micro-blogging of Twitter.

Not only are you creating relationships and sharing insights, but you're also creating more links for people to get to that expensive website that you payed for. From there, they can see your face, your bio, and all the related material that brand you even more extensively as the only chiropractor to turn to in your community. If, 5-10 years ago, when you were paying a fortune to put articles in the local magazines and fliers, you were told you'd one day have a free social outlet to market your practice, would you have been excited? My guess is yes.

A number of notable brands have had amazing early success marketing on Twitter, and now it's my fellow chiropractors' turn. Get on-board and ride this bull while it's hot so you can realize the loads of new patients that you need in today's difficult times. Build the interest that you need in your community to not only keep your practice afloat, but to have it soar to all new heights of success that the old methods could never afford you. What are you waiting for? Social media chiropractic marketing is a total game-changer so now it the time to seize the day.

Chiropractic Consultant Warning

By: Matthew Loop | 22/08/2009 | Internet Marketing
When conversing with hundreds of chiropractors at business growth seminars I've spoken at over the past couple of years, it is apparent that many have been scammed by practice management consultants. The typical issue that I hear most often is that these "gurus" do not do what is promised and their marketing is very "black-hat" or deceptive. Truthfully, I don't have respect for people that need to mislead chiropractors or students to get them to join their agency.
