It’s not uncommon for those new to the world of private label rights to hesitate in buying these articles. Often they aren’t sure how to use PLR and worry that they might not be able to do much with it. By now you are likely familiar with the fact that you can use PLR content as blog posts, website content, ebooks and such, but just what can you do with these articles?
Often the rights will vary slightly from website to website. Most sites will not allow you to simply resell the article packs as is, for example. Make sure you read the site’s agreement carefully before you purchase.
That being said, there are a few things that are fairly standard when it comes to how to use PLR articles.
Rewriting. You can always rewrite the articles that you purchase. Many webmasters have writers do this for them, since it tends to be cheaper than having custom content written. You will find that there are a number of writers who will do rewrites for cheap and turn your PLR articles into something totally original.
Adding your name. If you want, you can put your own name on most PLR content. This is ideal if you want to use it in an ebook or other manner and get the credit. Again, rewrites are a good idea, or there could potentially be several authors for the same article around the web.
Splitting. Many articles that you purchase will be too long to serve as blog posts, so you can look at splitting them. In some cases, however, companies will offer you PLR blog post packs, as well and these are usually easier to use than splitting articles. You can also split them to use as email series for your autoresponder . . . you simply need to add an intro and closing and load them onto your autoresponder.
Compiling. For something like an ereport or ebook, you will need longer content. Often, this can be accomplished through the use of PLR articles. Use one article for each chapter. With just five articles, you can easily have a book ready to sell on your site, with your name on it.
While you can’t resell PLR articles, there are very few limits otherwise as to how to use PLR content. Check the site that you are purchasing from to be sure that they don’t have any extra rules, then start working!
