Internet Marketing Schemes

When I decided to start an Internet business I searched the web for a system which can teach me the ropes. Believe me there are hundreds of them promising a world of riches at no risk with "Just Click Here", "Order and Pay Here" and you are seconds away from making millions. Up to now I could not find an easy quick way to make money on the Internet (or anywhere else in business for that matter), in a legal, ethical and honest way without putting lots of your own money on the table.

If there is anyone who can proof me wrong, I would like to be the first one to know. There might be and I am sure there are systems that can put you on the road to success fairly quick, as long as you hand over plenty of dollars in return. But even then you first have to learn some skills and put some systems in place to make it work, which unfortunately take time and don’t happen within a day or two.

On the other hand; it is possible to start an Internet business with no major expenses except to have a computer, the essential software installed (of which some might be free), an Internet connection (preferable broadband), an idea, determination to implement this idea, learning the skills and lots of typing. Yet again, it is not possible to start this way today, and be rich tomorrow.

I had a few small businesses of my own which I started from scratch, but money was needed to get it off the ground and to keep going until it became profitable. Surely many other men or women in business will agree with me on this. One thing I can also testify is a successful business is not build in a few days or months, but in a few years. I would say it takes an average of 5 years to establish a good sustainable business. Why should an Internet business be any different? The same business laws and principles apply.

Like in any other business there are a few options to start your own. You can buy an existing business, pay someone to help you build one or start it on your own. I would guess however that a majority of people looking at the Internet as a possibility to earn an extra income do not have the money to buy an existing business or pay someone to build one.

My advice to anyone who does not have money to throw around, neither time to waste chasing "getting rich quick" schemes, is to sit down and decide what you want to do and achieve within the next few months or even years. Put the idea of "making money quick" out of your head. Rather concentrate on building a business step by step, gaining experience as you progress and to learn the skills of the business.

So where to start? Most gurus will tell you to blog is the best way, and I agree. Start doing research on blogging but first get yourself an "Internet get quick rich" shield, and please don’t go out and buy one, it’s for free. Put it on and prepare for war. You will be bombarded with emails, flashing ads, pop-ups and many other marketing tricks and strategies. Defend yourself against it. You would have to do research to know how to do and implement certain things, but guard yourself against being lured into "making money quick and easy" schemes.

Do research with this in mind: "There is no easy way to make money quick". Gain knowledge in the ways Internet marketing happens. It boils down to Affiliate marketing, Google Adsense and/or selling your own product in different ways.
