Relationship Marketing Key to Generating Business Leads

It looks like many people are making mistakes regarding the businesses they are getting involved with and what it takes to successfully market them.

There are many business opportunities out there and people are pouring into them like crazy.  Some of these opportunities are with companies that have been around for a long time and are solid, proven winners.  If you are one of those people that picked a good business opportunity I am happy for you.

But to my dismay, there are many companies out there that are pretty shaky deals.  They promise you instant riches - all you have to do is sign on for them, pay your monthly fees, and then you can ease back and rake in the bread.  Incorrect, this is not how it works.

The fact is, there is a colossal crash rate among associates trying to start a booming home based internet or <a onClick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://gensplans.com">network marketing</a> venture.  Close to 95% of the individuals that join these online business, whether they are time-honored companies or one of the shady instant get rich schemes, will fail at making enough money to stay in business.

Assuming you picked a dependable business opportunity there is one vital fact to consider if you want to be among the profitable.

You have to understand the marketing required to make your business successful.  If you don’t know how to market you will most likely go out of business.

And, you need to understand the most essential piece about marketing and that is the generation of leads.

You must have leads so that you can turn those leads into sales and/or work with them into your business.  The sad part is that most network and Internet marketers fail in the most crucial part of their marketing - lead generation.   And the simple reason is usually because they do not know how to market properly. But you can easily change that and get the knowledge you need.

The most critical piece of the map is at the middle - the lead capture page.  The lead capture page is central to your marketing and once you learn how to do all the different types of marketing they all point back to one thing – and that is your lead capture page.

No matter what kind of marketing you are doing, whether it’s Facebook, MySpace, Adwords, Forums, Blogging, etc., all of that traffic needs to be targeted to go to your lead capture pages.  

To repeat, all of your marketing needs to send all of your traffic to your lead capture page.

Fundamentally, the idea is for you to start marketing using any or a combination of traffic generation - lead generation techniques.  Then your marketing efforts will direct people to your lead capture page and then you can convert that lead into a buying customer and/or a prospect to enroll your company.

If all you’re doing is advertising your business, and not capturing leads, you are doing your self a disfavor.  You must secure the leads and build relations with the people whose names you acquire.

Now when you learn how to market properly, you will become skilled at how to master these discrete marketing strategies. You do NOT need to master them all so don’t get frightened by how many types of traffic marketing there are.  Some very profitable internet marketers only use 1 or 2 of these tactics, but they concentrate on them, get competent at them, and they take action with them.

You can make use of things like MySpace and Facebook to attract traffic to your landing page.  You can utilize forums and blogs to establish yourself as an expert and get traffic to your landing page that route.  You can also run advertisements on other people’s forums or use Yahoo, MSN or Google Adwords to get traffic to your leads capture page.  Pick one to begin.

Your lead capture page becomes the opening point into your marketing retention and follow up method, because the traffic that you capture there goes into your Autoresponder.

All the opt-ins go into YOUR autoresponder.  This is because you need to develop a list of your own clientele and prospects.  This is a crucial point, because in the preponderance of internet business out there, all of your pains go to building a customer list for the company, NOT you!

You need to be doing this no matter what business you are in, whether it’s TriVani, Market America, Avon, etc.  You need to get the traffic to your squeeze so that you can obtain the lead.  

The autoresponder becomes your email director, your marketing follow-up system and your client retention structure.  

By utilizing an autoresponder you can stay in contact with your potential recruits and over time they will be positive to either buy products from you, link up with your business (if you are network marketing) or grow to be resellers (if you are in affiliate marketing).  

Use the email messages you send out via your autoresponder list to benefit your contacts.  After all, they wouldn’t have registered for your list if they didn’t think you had something to offer them. So don’t disillusion them.  Give them gratis things, give them instruction, coach them, and ultimately sell them on your products or company. Give out them marketing training and show them how they can be flourishing with the goods you are selling or if they join your business.  Under promise and Over deliver!

You can truly earn an income from this.  We’ve set ourselves up with services and products so that we can bring in wealth even if people don’t enter our business.  This is because we have built a file of names that we are building relationships with.

So remember, no traffic - no leads, and with no leads you can’t keep your business going.  

If you are already operating a business, you need to organize a training curriculum so that you can offer even more to your list of people.  If you have yet to go in with a business you need to find a company that gives you with the right kind of marketing training.  A superior training program should show people how to set up their landing pages and autoresponder and educate them on which types of traffic marketing will work best for them.  

Remember, you don’t have to use all the different types of marketing to get traffic.  You can use the various methods individually.  The important thing is to use at least one of them, get good at it and stick with it.

So don’t waste any more time. Start doing things the right way and get the marketing training you need.
