Marketing comes in so many different forms. There are different ways to do different things and so many reasons why they need to be done and many different turnouts that can be good or bad. There are also different keys on how to become a marketing expert. You don't have to now all forms of marketing and be an expert at all of them on top of that, but what you do need is to know what works for you and your business.
Lets start with Ad-copy. This is something all businesses need, except of course illegally run businesses! Now, Having a great ad-copy can make a whole lot of difference for the outcome of your business. It's sort of like the first impression, people see the advert in the papers or on TV and it will either make them want to go to you, laugh at you or simply not care. So you need ad-words that catch people's attention or their curiosity.
Aside from Ad-words in the papers and on TV, many businesses are getting in Pay Per Click, better known as PPC. For those not too familiar with how PPC works, it's basically like this. You advertise with a certain website, but you only pay when a user actually clicks your add. This way you know every penny you spend is worth it, as now we all have to be careful with where the cash goes. For search engines, the key to getting noticed is by bidding on the best keywords. Lets say you're selling costumes, well you need to bid on that word so every time someone searched the word 'costumes', you come up! Your Ad-words will also be crucial for PPC because this will again attract the customer to click or not to click.
For article marketing, you're writing short articles related to your industry. The articles are then distributed to different websites. Each of the articles contains a bio box and a byline, which includes the information of the author, what he or she does and information about the business. Writing helpful information tells the reader you know what you're doing and it builds trust in your business. It adds credibility, which in turn adds sales.
This goes for other forms of advertising like posting videos and making press releases. Just remember the ad-words you use need to have a point, need to be unique and attractive. Best thing to do is to start off with many different ideas, think of what you want to read as a consumer on an advert. Ask some of your relatives or friends about their opinions choose the best ones and then try them out. See what works best and keep it going. If something isn't working so well for you then change till you find the perfect one.
