Traffic Exchange Revealed

Traffic exchange is a website that has a program providing a service for online entrepreneurs or webmasters; specifically an avenue to exchange traffic following a certain system. The traffic exchange system has a membership program, and involves submission of different web sites or web pages the members desire to send traffic to.

Upon joining, members are asked to add their site URLs, or the URLs of the web pages that they want to bring traffic to. The members will then need to view the sites of the other members within the program. Every member gains credits for every site viewed. These credits represent the number of traffic that will be sent to the added sites.

As a member continuously surfs on different sites within traffic exchange, he or she adds traffic to those sites and gains more and more credits that also means directing more and more traffic to his or her nominated sites or web pages. This is how the system basically works.

Most traffic exchanges have free and paid memberships. Members joining for free usually gain 0.25 up to 0.5 credits pare page or site viewed, depending on the program. Earning one credit means that the site owned by the person who gained it will have one view or one generated traffic. This fraction of credits earned is most popularly known as the credit ratio. This ranges from 2:1 up to 5:1 for free memberships. This means that the member gets 1 credit for every 2 sites viewed, or the member gets 1 credit for every 5 pages or sites viewed; depending on the program. When members browse more sites or pages within the program, they surely get more traffic directed to their sites.

On the other hand, traffic exchange programs have minimum timeframe in viewing sites. This ranges from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. There are even some who have it up to one minute. This minimum timeframe marks the least amount of time allotted to a site being viewed. The member viewing the site will only be allowed to go to the next site or page after the timer runs out.

Furthermore, free membership already offers a lot of benefits. Aside from bringing traffic to sites, traffic exchange is also an avenue to capture leads, be updated with the latest in the competition, and make the page familiar to potential customers. However, a member will only make the most out of the benefits he or she can get from the program when enough time and effort will be given to it.

Traffic exchange is a very powerful marketing tool. Just like any other, it needs attention, time, effort, and a lot of planning until one has formulated a proper strategy. There are a lot of online instructional materials and forums where one can learn most of the things about how the system works, but having the first hand experience is a lot better. Joining through a free membership is a very good way to start. Traffic exchange will not only bring traffic to the site but will also help in pushing the online business towards success.
