Website; website is of course the most important aspect if you wish to build your presence online. Building a website is actually easier than it looks. There are only a few things you need to consider when building a website.
1. Design
Website design is really important. Nowadays, it is too easy for somebody to just go to your website and hit the back button. There are a couple of reasons when somebody do that, it could be that the content is not what they're searching for. It could also be the website looks purely hype and scam. The last one of course, their eye hurts when they look at your website.
It's either too plain or too cheesy.
You can design your own website, or you can use template. The best way is to pay someone to design your website. Make sure you use a reputable source, so that you don't waste your money on redesigning your website for the second time.
2. Domain Name
Make sure you choose a sweet looking and nice hearing domain name. Domain that will stay in people's heart and not too long, but descriptive enough that will let people know what your website is about.
3. Web Host
This is one of the X Factors in having your own website. You want to make sure that you have a web host that has a good support network so you can ask any questions you want. And you want to make sure that they have secure server capabilities, huge space, fast servers, SSH and FTP access, web-based administration, etc.
Inquire about how long they have been in business and are there any problems before; because once your website is down, you're completely out of business.
So you would want to make sure having a good web host, and people have been saying this but I don't really know why; do not get your web hosting from the same company that provides you with the domain name.
That's all to know when you build a website. What you want is when your customer visits your website; you want them to say, "This is professional". So choose your web host, domain name and design it carefully. You are on a journey to online success.
