Health Net, Inc. is one the America's largest publicly traded and managed health care company which is located in Woodland Hills, California, USA. The company’s POS, HMO, insured PPO and government contracts subsidiaries offer health benefits to nearly 6.7 million people in all the fifty states in U.S and in the Districts of Columbia through individual, group, Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare and Veterans Affairs programs. This health care company Health Net gives behavioral health services subsidiaries, MHN, substance abuse and employee assistance programs, which is also called as EAPs to approximately 7.4 million individuals in different states, including Health Net Inc.’s own health plan members. The company’s subsidiaries also provide managed health care products that are connected to drug prescriptions and offer managed health care product coordination for administrative services and multi-region employers, medical groups and also for the self-funded benefits programs.
When it comes to Health Net Divisions, the Health Net Federal Services, Inc. referred as HNFS is the government operations division of Health Net. It is a TRICARE North region provider as of July 1, 2004. If you look at the Health Net sponsorships, since the year 2003 the Health Net has been the main sponsor for the Health Net Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis which is a professional cycling team based in the United States. Apart from this, the Health Net often sponsors a variety of professional cycling races such as CSC Invitational. Similarly when it comes to the quality of Care; in the year 2007, the Health Care Quality Report Card made by the California's Office of the Patient Advocate, Health Net scored 3 out of 4 for meeting with the national level standards of care and for how Health Net members rate their HMO.
Health Net provides a variety of Medicare plans to meet almost every individual and many of the Health Net plans have one or more of the following feature. Low or no monthly plan premiums, Low or no co-payments for physician office visits, Low or no co-payments for specialist office visits, Low or no co-payments for urgently needed care, Low or no co-payments for preferred medications, Low or no co-payment for your first physical exam per year, $0 co-payment for Medicare-covered immunizations and preventative screening exams - office visit co-payment might apply for this. Optional Supplemental Benefits – Chiro, Vision and Dental at a low monthly premium which is not available in all areas.
