Saving Wedding Costs

Every bride dreams of the perfect wedding day, but there is no need to spend use a friend's car instead of that limo; use a DJ or recorded music played by a friend rather than having a 10-piece band; choosing flowers that are in season and reducing the photographer's hours by having him only take the formal photos - family or friends can take the informal ones. And why not design and print your own invitations? The equivalent of a deposit on your dream house to get married.

There are plenty of ways in which to cut back on costs and still have that perfect wedding. The wedding dress itself need not cost the earth - it may be possible to get a beautiful white dress that was not meant as a wedding dress. The cost of drinks at the reception is often considerable, but you can reduce this by supplying your own. This way you have more control over the amount consumed and you may get a return on any boxes of bottles not used.  A white bridesmaid's dress will be just as good but heaps cheaper, while the formal shop may have a white gown that would be suitable.

Choosing finger foods will make the food cheaper, while using the wedding cake as dessert will also reduce costs. A smaller cake for show will cost less and then you can have a sheet cake that can be cut for the guests as another cost-saver.
