Where Can You Find Free Options Trading Tutorials?

Posted: Sep 05, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

When searching for options trading tutorials for free, there is a place you can look that you might not immediately think of. There are many places to find free information these days, especially with the spread and ease of access of the internet.  One great place to find free instructional videos is YouTube.

Options trading tutorials on YouTube are fantastic as they are so much easier to absorb by observing other traders assessing the market environment as well as various trading strategies and ideas. For some individuals, this is a far quicker process of learning, than purely reading something in a book. Options trading requires such a sharp learning curve for
beginners who are initiating their journey, but options trading tutorial sessions on YouTube are a fantastic place to start.

When searching for option trading instructional videos on YouTube, what should you look for? An idea would be to look for a certain subject you are presently studying or researching. As an example, if you are just beginning, you could search for "options trading tutorials for
beginners" or "options trading for dummies".  Secondly, if you are at a more sophisticated
level you might consider looking for something such as "options trading and ratio backspreads" or "advanced options trading lessons".

You do have to be careful with YouTube, as it can suck you in easily and be a huge time waste. So try to make sure you are not viewing videos that are not teaching you anything. Also try and watch only videos that are comprising subjects appropriate for your experience and capacities. This way, you will not begin to feel inundated as there is a huge amount of
information out there on many varied subjects.

If you find a video that you appreciate, Have a look to check if that user has some other tutorials that you might like, chances are they will. Also have a look to see who that user is subscribed to as they might be subscribed to many other great option traders or coaches.

So those are a few of my tips when looking for free options trading tutorials online. Have you watched many option trading tutorials on YouTube? Can you suggest any good videos to other readers? Leave a comment below and let everyone know.

If you haven't checked out my YouTube videos, you can view options trading tutorials here. Take a look and let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you.

by L. J. Martin http://fromthepeapatch.com I guess I shouldn't be surprised when I read headlines like "fewer first time buyers hurt market," in an article regarding home sales, or that, surprise, 33% of home buyers are cash buyers. You can't buy a foreclosure without cash, or a bank letter of credit which is the same as cash. Reporters (and politicians) would make you think that many buyers out there actually had cash to pay for their new home, when the buyer was actually an investor or gro

The stochastic oscillator was developed by George Lane during the 50′s and shows the momentum of the market by evaluating the location of the closing price relative to the recent high-low range. Learning how to trade volatility is a key concept for new traders to learn when starting out in options trading. Implied volatility is one of the key pricing inputs in the Black Scholes option pricing model and while I won't detail all the calculations now, it is based on various inputs, of which implied volatility is the most subjective (as future volatility is not known, we have to make a best guess).

Out of all the main options brokerages, Options House is the new kid on the block. But that does not necessarily mean you should not think about switching your account over to them. Like most brokerages they have a sign up offer, in this case it is 100 free trades. I have found them to be an incredibly good broker for options trading and they are who I recommend most of my options coaching students to use.
