The origin of Cubic Zirconia is the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide which is very hard in form and colorless but can be given various colors. It is in the form of crystals which is man made by combining Zirconia Powder and yttrium oxide at a temperature of 5000 degree Fahrenheit. The material is kept for some time to get cool and once it gets cooled beautiful crystals appear in sparkling and shiny forms which are very hard and durable. If gone through a UV rays Cubic Zirconia changes to yellow, or greenish yellow. The various features that make Cubic Zirconia distinguished with Diamond are as follows:

Dispersion: It gets dispersed fast compared to Diamond which can be seen from Naked eyes also
Hardness: The hardness of Zirconia is very high compared to Diamond
Cuts: The cuts found are very accurate, neatly done which is somewhat less in Diamonds
Colorless: Rare of the Diamond can be found colorless with most having yellow color but Zirconia Jewelry  can be found in Colorless form

Manufacturers have started the ways of improving the performance of Cubic Zirconia by using a film of Diamond like carbon or amorphous carbon and by depositing a chemical vapors. The resultant form is harder and very much similar to Diamond.

Most of the CZ jewelry is 14K.The cost of the this crystal is quite low and due to its low price, reliability, strength, and much more clarity than diamond, it has gained popularity since 1970. It is used as substitute for Diamond due to its low economical cost and high standards. It is used in entire fashion and jeweler industry with different forms and variants. The Cubic Zirconia  jewelry  are available  in various variants  starting from rings , Clip On Earrings , Bracelets , Loose stones , Necklaces, White gold , Beads , Stones .The drawback of the Cubic Zirconia jewelry is it gets dirty fast and that was the reason manufacturers tried the ways to give a additional coating of chemical vapors to restore its shine. Still we have various ways to get rid of Dirt, Oil, and other elements by simply cleaning the jewelry with warm water, Liquid soap, detergent with the help of sot clothes made form soft fabrics but you have to be very careful while cleaning and washing since it’s very hard and sensitive to detergents and soaps, the care has to be taken that no residue gets deposited on the Jewelry otherwise it will make the crystal dull. There are various commercial and House hold ways to clean the this type of jewelry to name some are  Warm water and Liquid Soap, Cleaning through Steam, Ultrasonic Cleaners. The finishing of the Cubic zirconia is so fine that even when looking through a microscope, you may find flaws called inclusions in real diamond stones but this is rare in Cubic zirconia. The performance and shine often depends on the number of cleaning performed and the time duration. The frequency of the clearing is much more required instead of going through the ways how it is cleaned.
