Four Reasons Why Jewellery Beats A Chocolate Easter Egg

Searching for an alternative to chocolate eggs this Easter? Perhaps you are buying for someone who is dieting, diabetic or otherwise 'off' chocolate? Looking for something more eco-friendly? Or simply wanting to treat yourself or a friend this Easter? Here are four reasons why you should definitely consider buying jewellery instead of a chocolate Easter egg.

  • It's healthier: It's fine to enjoy a chocolate egg or two at Easter, but everything in moderation - too much chocolate is bad for your teeth and your waistline. Save yourself and others from temptation by giving a non-chocolate Easter gift. If you know someone who is dieting, diabetic or otherwise health conscious, they will particularly appreciate the though.
  • It's better for the environment: According to trading standards the average Easter egg is roughly 20% chocolate and 80% packaging. Although there are chocolate eggs available with less packaging now, the pollution problem remains. Jewellery is excess-packing free and saves the environment. If you want to go the extra distance, why not go for eco-friendly jewellery. For example, you could choose wooden jewellery made from sustainable wood, which does not contribute to deforestation.
  • It's original: If you want your gesture to be remembered, give a special Easter gift to keep. Gratitude for adding another chocolate egg to an already large pile will probably only last as long as the egg does, whereas jewellery is something that can be treasured as a reminder of a happy Easter.
  • It's good value: Ok, jewellery does cost more than the average Easter egg, but think of it in terms of value for money. A chocolate egg will probably last a few days (if not less) and be forgotten, but an item of jewellery will last much longer. It's easy to find unique, stylish jewellery designs both online and on the high street that are good value for money and they will far outlast any chocolate Easter gift.

Easter Sunday is April 12th this year so get your special jewellery for Easter now!
