Luxury World Peek: David Oscarson Pen- Perfect Luxury Jewelry Gift to be Given From Generations to Generations. Mark the Beginning of New Generation

David oscarson pen at Penboutique.com

Over the past decade, David Oscarson has consistently provided both pen enthusiasts and avid pen collectors with exquisitely handcrafted works of art, making him one of the most respected private artisans of limited edition writing instruments in today’s pen world.

Each Oscarson collection is limited to a mere 88 pieces per color-scheme and includes both roller balls and fountain pens. The attention to detail and the passion that goes into producing each piece ensures that the pen you receive is not only a high luxury item, but a unique masterpiece.

David Oscarson’s fourth collection, the “Harvest Collection,” celebrates the coming of autumn by conjuring up mental images of the harvest as you gaze upon the details of the writing instrument. Golden wheat fields, fruitful abundance, the cool crisp air chasing away the last remnants of summer and the sweet smell of pinewood blazing in the hearth all come to mind. Autumn is the time of year when the leaves change from green to yellow, orange, red and brown. They are multicolored pieces of warmth amid a world approaching the annual period of hibernation.

After the harvest, a time of celebration and thanksgiving is lifted for the work and bounty the past year has wrought. Pumpkin-carving contests, hayrides loaded to the brim with excited children and long leisurely walks through the park are all characteristic of this peaceful and reflective time of the year.

The Harvest Collection captures these sentiments and pleasing images in each handcrafted piece. Available in five vibrant fall colors – yellow, bronze, red, blue, and amber – each pen has a white color-filled motif of wheat stalks, grass and kernels delicately inlaid into the barrel.

As is signature of any Oscarson masterpiece, the artisans rely on the old world craftsmanship techniques of guilloche and hard enamel to create each work of art in the Harvest Collection. In guilloche, intricate patterns are engraved into the 18-karat gold barrel of the pen creating a mesmerizing basket-weave design that will astonish the admirer each and every time they look upon it. In this limited edition collection, Oscarson has incorporated three layers of guilloche pattern which adds dimension and depth to the overall appearance of the writing instrument.

Utilizing the process of hard enameling, a mixture of glass, water, metal and chemicals is pounded into a fine paste which is then dyed to match the colors intended for the piece. Once carefully applied - to fill in the engraved grooves on the barrel - the pen is fired in a furnace at temperatures exceeding 1,100? F. Once removed from the furnace, a skilled artisan uses a diamond filer to sand down the surface of the pen until the barrel begins to reflect its original cylindrical shape and the texture of the pen becomes as smooth as polished glass.

Over and over again the process is repeated and is only complete when the artisan deems that the pen is perfectly contoured, the various colors are strikingly visible and the design is flawlessly captured – like the meticulous refining of grain from billions of wheat kernels.

In the Harvest Collection, transparent hard enamel is color-treated with one of the five available colors and then applied to the guilloche barrel. Then white, opalescent enamel is used to fill in the motif of wheat stalks, grass and kernels. The result is a beautiful contrast between the white of the motif and the vibrant color of the basket-weave guilloche pattern. A masterpiece of color, texture, precious metals and innovate design.

With the start of the autumn season there is no better way to celebrate the completion of another year of hard labor and the blessings procured than by purchasing one of these limited edition works of genius. There are only  88 pieces of each color in this collection, so don’t wait until it’s too late to take home your very own fountain pen or roller ball to add to your personal collection. The craftsmanship and meaning associated with these pens is the product of intense thought, labor, passion and an eye for exquisite detail.
