We’ve all done it – come across boxes of apparent junk hidden away in the loft that we’d totally forgotten about.
Well those boxes could contain hundreds, maybe thousands of pounds worth of antique and modern jewellery.
131 year old UK auction house Fellows & Sons sources many of its most exciting items from people walking into its reception in Birmingham.
The firm has a number of unusual items up for sale at its next antique and modern jewellery sale on Thursday 18th October.
They include five Russian egg pendants. The hinged pendants are being sold individually and could fetch up to £100 each.
They can be viewed at the firm’s website http://www.fellows.co.uk, and in its online catalogue at http://www.fellows.co.uk/ShowAuction.asp?sAuctionNumber=908.
The eggs themselves are fascinating:
• Lot 51: A gold white guilloche enamelled egg pendant with a central black and red enamelled bug motif. Guide price £50 to £100
• Lot 52: A gold green guilloche enamelled egg pendant with vertical gold ridged branding and overlaid bird design. Guide price £50 to £100
• Lot 53: A gold yellow guilloche enamelled pendant with a central inlaid paste, surrounded by red enamel and surmounted by leaf detail. Guide price £60 to £100
If you want to see how much they actually sell for, you can monitor the sale via a live audio feed.
And you can buy any of the antique or modern jewellery items anywhere in the world using online bidding: http://www.fellows.co.uk/home/Internet-Buying.asp.
